OK — have been messing about with this thing for about four months now and it's stuck on my phone, reckon I'd write something up since someone asked me a few days back. Am in the UK, mainly do football and horses, small stakes, for context.
What got me on it was genuinely a bit daft — I couldn't ever work out what an ew return would be when the place terms changed. I used to just guess and moan when the payout landed. Now punch the numbers in before every slip, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — type in the price and your stake and it spits out the return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn't matter. There's also the multiples — acca and treble returns, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, honestly that's where most people I know lose track. If you want a look, it's here
free trixie bet calculator and there's no login wall, which I appreciated.
The thing that genuinely made a difference were the nerdier bits. The probability calculator and it makes obvious how much the bookie's taking, and a kelly calculator — I use half kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is decent when I'm splitting a race.
It's not perfect mind. The design looks very functional, let's say — not much flash, it's clearly function over form. On mobile it's usable but the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. Also there's no proper app, it's a website and that's it — fine by me but worth saying.
So yeah. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If you even now adds it up in their head, try it — saves me a fair few "wait, that's it?" moments.
